About The Position

This posting is for multiple openings of Polysomnographic Technologist and Senior Polysomnographic Technologist at Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center in Spokane. We are hiring for Full-Time and Supplemental or Per Diem opportunities. This is a combined posting for a Polysomnographer and Senior Polysomnographer. The Polysomnographer is responsible for helping to maintain or restore maximum functioning of the patient's cardiopulmonary system in accordance with physician orders and/or departmental protocols. Required to exercise initiative in developing ideas or in responding to or adjusting problem situations. Work processes and assignments for patients of all ages frequently require the incumbent to interpret and apply operating procedures, technical standards, and/or protocols to problems of varying degrees of complexity. The Senior Polysomnographer is responsible for helping to maintain or restore maximum functioning of the patient's cardiopulmonary system in accordance with physician orders and/or departmental protocols. Required to exercise initiative in developing ideas or in responding to or adjusting problem situations. Work processes and assignments for patients of all ages frequently require the incumbent to interpret and apply operating procedures, technical standards, and/or protocols to problems of varying degrees of complexity.

Requirements

• ASTEP Program, or equivalent education/experience
• National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire -OR- National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire -OR- National Sleep Disorders Specialty - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 2 years of recent experience in the field of Sleep Study Technology (for Polysomnographer)
• Minimum four (4) years of experience working in an accredited sleep center (for Senior Polysomnographer)
• 4 years of recent experience in the field of Sleep Study Technology (for Senior Polysomnographer)

Responsibilities

• Helping to maintain or restore maximum functioning of the patient's cardiopulmonary system in accordance with physician orders and/or departmental protocols.
• Exercising initiative in developing ideas or in responding to or adjusting problem situations.
• Interpreting and applying operating procedures, technical standards, and/or protocols to problems of varying degrees of complexity for patients of all ages.
