About The Position

The Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech position is at a short-term acute care facility with 108 staff beds. The position does not float between units. It requires a block schedule and a 2:1 ratio. Weekend work is required; the Friday night shift extends into Saturday morning. On-call work is not required, and 48-hour schedules are not approved. An Oregon license must be in hand before starting. The estimated licensing process takes approximately 4–6 weeks and may take longer. Applicants must submit a completed application before completing fingerprints, since fingerprint results expire 30 days after the board receives them if no application has been received. The Oregon State Law & Rules Exam must be taken at the Oregon office. The licensing representative recommends applying and submitting all requirements, completing fingerprinting as soon as instructed, and traveling to Oregon 2–3 weeks before the job assignment to take the exam. Applicants who pass may receive their license the same day.
