About The Position

The Polymer Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing polymers (PE, PP, PVC) by developing a comprehensive business plan that includes procurement, revenue, and expense controls. This role involves developing new suppliers, maximizing sourcing volume, and enhancing business relationships. The specialist will maintain and report sourcing and procurement information accurately and in a timely manner, while also understanding suppliers' end markets and procurement strategies. Continuous communication with international counterparts is essential to ensure timely and accurate solutions for increased efficiency. This position will also focus on increasing the company's presence in the polymer business through participation in industry conferences and company meetings.

Requirements

• 5 years of domestic sourcing + exporting experience in the polymer industry(must)
• Proven experience in exporting US locally sourced products to Europe, Latin America and Asia etc.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business trips
• Ability to create new opportunities and convert sourcing strategies into tangible results
• Resourcefulness and persistence in prospecting potential clients and suppliers
• Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited school(preferred)
• Sourcing experience at chemical distribution companies(preferred)
