Quick facts Role: Polymer Extrusion Line Specialist (Chattanooga, TN) Pay: $17.00–$21.00 per hour, paid weekly (DOE) Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation — Days 6:00 a.m.–6:15 p.m.; Nights 6:00 p.m.–6:15 a.m.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Team-oriented, yet confident working independently
  • Strong communication and steady conflict-resolution skills
  • Willingness for overtime and off-shift work
  • Able to stand for 12-hour shifts and wear required PPE
  • Dependable, on-time attendance
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Plastic extrusion experience
  • Thermoforming experience
  • Operation of extrusion machines

Responsibilities

  • Start up and shut down extruders and thermoformers
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on automation and auxiliary equipment
  • Keep equipment running to standard while learning and covering multiple lines
  • Track production and quality via accurate, timely paperwork
  • Drive continuous improvement projects that elevate safety, quality, and output
  • Work with minimal supervision and escalate issues per procedure to Leads, Supervisors, Maintenance, or Quality
  • Hit or surpass daily line goals without compromising safety or quality
  • Pitch in to train and assist teammates
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Limit cell phone use to breaks or downtime to stay focused when the line is running
  • Perform other duties that support team performance
  • Know your PPE, follow procedures for every task, and report hazards, near misses, or injuries immediately
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations in partnership with packers, Leads, Supervisors, Maintenance, and Quality
