About The Position

Temp D Shift swing shift Extrusion operator. Experience in manufacturing, machine operation and warehouse preferred. D night swing shift runs from 7:00pm to 7:00am. Starting pay will be $18 per hour. An Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up and controlling extrusion machines. These machines heat materials such as metals and plastics and push them through a mold that shapes the material. The operator ensures safe, efficient, and accurate production while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Arrive to work and be on the job 5 minutes before the start of your shift, do not clock in before 7 minutes till the beginning of your shift unless instructed otherwise by your supervisor Proper attire needs to be worn. Shorts are ok, no tank tops or muscle shirts. Speak with the previous shift and communicate issues or problems seen. Check labels and verify the information is correct Walk the machine, making sure there are no broken ends or twisted ends. Weigh each bobbin and verify they are all the same weight Before starting a case, weigh the pallet and record the weight on the side (note: when weighing on the scale, make sure you do not touch the machine as this throws the weight off) For finished cases, take to wrap machine and pack, always have the supervisor produce the labels At the end of your shift, make sure all waste has been gathered and the weight recorded. After the weight has been captured, condense waste into boxes as much as possible Clean, clean, clean. If the machine is running well, we have no reason to have a dirty work area. Machine must be kept clean and organized at all times Cell phones are to be used on breaks only. Being used on the lines is not allowed If you are going to be absent or late, you must inform your supervisor at least 2 hours before your shift so he can accommodate you. Anything less will be considered a no-call/no-show If you see, hear, or notice anything wrong with the equipment, notify your shift leader immediately. Whatever the supervisor requests you to do, that is your job. We are a team, and we need to do whatever it takes to keep the place running properly. Responsible for additional duties and accountabilities that will be assigned as needed.
