Requirements

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field
Hands-on experience in polymer or organic synthesis
Strong understanding of polymer/material characterization techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability with a scientific and pragmatic approach
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Demonstrated initiative and leadership potential

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with analytical chemistry or aqueous system chemistry is a plus

Responsibilities

Design and develop novel polymers for tissue and towel applications
Conduct both theoretical and experimental research to generate new scientific and technological knowledge
Perform polymer synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation
Prepare comprehensive documentation of research, including technical reports, protocols, summaries, and quantitative analyses
Analyze and interpret experimental data; communicate insights to technical and business stakeholders
Contribute to multiple R&D programs from concept through application
Publish research findings in scientific journals and present at conferences and professional forums
Document research outcomes for patent disclosures and technical advancements
Supervise, mentor, and coach laboratory assistants and junior team members
Collaborate across disciplines within the Research function, contributing as a generalist or specialist as needed
Build deep expertise and grow into a leadership role in a key technology area
