About The Position

The Polygraph Section for the Kentucky State Police is responsible for administering polygraph examinations to applicants of the Kentucky State Police and, as needed, providing support to criminal investigations and internal administrative procedures.

Requirements

• Must complete two years (54 semester hours) from a college or university.
• NONE
• Must possess a certificate of graduation from a school accredited by the American Polygraph Association.
• Kentucky Revised Statutes - Chapter 329
• Must obtain required Kentucky Polygraph license within thirty days of employment.
• Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
• Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision schedules examinations as requested by investigators, conducts examinations and analyzes results.
• Uses computerized equipment to conduct examinations.
• Conducts pre-employment examinations.
• Reviews and analyzes investigative information.
• Prepares reports.
• Communicates with investigators.
