Dr. Kirk Hawkins in the Political Science Department is seeking a part-time staff research assistant to work with him until August 2026. Requirements

• A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
• Some college experience
• Work experience under Dr. Kirk Hawkins and familiarity with his current research projects
• Experience working with Team Populism
• Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.

Responsibilities

• Train a student employee on being an administrative assistant for Team Populism, an international scholarly network
• Train a team of undergraduate research assistants to study textual analysis using LLMs
