Political Affairs Specialist
About The Position
The Political Affairs Specialist researches legislative, regulatory, political and economic developments and translates them into clear insights for Uline’s Executive leadership. The role evaluates emerging issues, identifies risks and potential business impacts, develops executive communications, and supports strategic initiatives to help the company anticipate developments and understand their business implications. This position is based on-site at Uline’s corporate headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Uline is a family-owned distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials with over 10,000 employees across 15 locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 7 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, political affairs, business analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling recommendations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Provide Uline leadership with insights on legislative, political and economic developments, identifying risks and evaluating potential business impacts.
- Prepare concise written summaries, policy analyses and presentations that turn complex information into strategic business recommendations.
- Support strategic projects and company-wide initiatives.
- Use sound business judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
