About The Position

The purpose of this job is to clean, de-burr, polish and grind items of metal using hand tools or powered equipment. The role involves de-burring or polishing parts using a portable grinder or buffer, holding parts against an abrasive belt or buff wheel, changing tools on power equipment, and applying abrasive compound or other dressing to facilitate polishing operations. The position also requires maintaining individual production goals and may involve contact with hazardous chemicals. Environmental responsibility, including proper disposal of waste, is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Six months related experience.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must be able to perform physical functions equivalent to Category A (High Labor Intensive Category).

Responsibilities
