About The Position

The Polishers will be polishing large stainless-steel automotive parts by hand or machine in a sheet metal shop environment. This role requires the ability to work in a non-climate controlled shop environment and involves repetitive movements requiring good dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Polishers must be able to stand for 10 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a non-climate controlled shop environment
Required to wear proper PPE equipment including a Respirator helmet when working
Experienced using hand and power tools
Ability to work OT when needed

Nice To Haves

Background in sheet metal, autobody, and/or foundry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Handle and prepare parts for performing polishing operations with machine polishers and hand tools on metal fenders.
Operate polishing equipment such as hand files, grinders, disks, rotary sanders and abrasive wheels.
Remove bumps or indentations in the metal parts without stretching or cutting through the finished piece with care to maintain contours, edges and dimensions.
Locate and gather materials and supplies needed, check material for correctness and quality.
