About The Position

Granite Polisher: Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools. Apply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while making sure the dimensions stay the same. Verify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework. Ensure proper use of equipment. Teamwork; helping coworkers in other stations if needed. Maintain a clean station. Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.). Ensure safety procedures are followed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite, and Quartz
• Experience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields
• Experience in material polishing
• Experience operating a forklift
• Basic knowledge in math (adding and subtracting measurements)
• Basic knowledge of maintenance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs
• Self-confidence
• Flexibility

• Safety oriented
• Ability to work in compliance with federal law, verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and complete Form I-9 upon hire
• Must be able to undergo a background check and/or drug screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with local laws and client requirements.
