About The Position

Assists in the finishing of parts after they have been painted. This involves demasking finished parts, inspecting them for damage, and performing a finish using specified products such as wax, compound, or polish. The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe work environment, maintaining the cleanliness of the spray booth, and positioning articles in jigs or erecting ladders/scaffolding. Other tasks may be assigned by the Paint Manager.

Requirements

• Background in paint and body repair with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience.
• High School or GED equivalent required.
• Proficiency in budgeting time.
• Must possess basic hand tools for the position and upgrade as required.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate from an accredited technical or an industrial trade school is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demask finished parts and inspect for damage.
• Perform finishing of parts after painting using specified products (wax, compound, or polish).
• Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax, or other materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the spray booth.
• Position articles in jigs or erect ladders or scaffolding.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or approved by the Paint Manager.
