About The Position

The Policy Technician produces issuance of title insurance policies and related services for the department. This position is responsible for knowing the practices of each state, county, and underwriter within the affiliated group of offices.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass an MVR and background check.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to operate a personal or company vehicle for errands or training.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an office, Title, Escrow, or Banking is a plus!
  • Previous experience in an office environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a solid understanding of the practices and laws governing each State, County, and Underwriter.
  • Apply specific knowledge and technical skills through extensive experience in issuing title insurance policies, ranging from low to high complexity.
  • Maintain daily production records and prepare reports using the information.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective and timely handling of policies and resolution of customer requirements.
  • Communicate with company employees and customers by phone, in person, or through correspondence.
  • Support corporate core values, purpose, goals, and culture.
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards, including the expectation of prompt, predictable, and regular attendance.
  • React to change positively and productively, including as a result of the expansion of job responsibilities and expectations.
  • Perform other job duties as required.
