About The Position

The Policy Services Representative position involves administering a timely and accurate policy issuance process that is consistent with compliance and performance standards. This role supports the underwriter with all endorsement requests to ensure compliance with carrier and company guidelines. The position is regular, requires English fluency, and is a 1st Shift role.

Requirements

  • Appropriate insurance experience
  • Three years of wholesale insurance experience or its equivalent
  • Current state specific license
  • Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
  • Must have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
  • Must have ability to use company automation
  • Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with clients
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Assist Underwriter with meeting or exceeding production goals as assigned by CRC.
  • Review and process policy servicing requests including but not limited to endorsement, audits, company requests and certificates.
  • Underwrite CRC products and services to clients.
  • Audit, correct, and verify all necessary information prior to policy issuance.
  • Issue policies according to company guidelines.
  • Analyze change requests, general service inquiries and endorsements.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with company's policies and procedures.
  • Approve and disapprove endorsements within CRC's binding authority.
  • Adhere to jurisdictional compliance documentation standards and ensure all documentation is completed.
  • Apply information from the policy services manager to ensure necessary changes for compliance purposes.
  • Develop and Maintain client, carrier and agent relationships through timely, accurate service.
  • Assist manager with modifications to workflow to increase efficiency and accuracy of the policy services department.
  • Proof policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. and make corrections as appropriate.
  • Maintain suspense system and follow-up for receipt of policies, endorsement information, inspections, correspondence, claims, etc. from outside sources.
  • Conduct ratings as necessary to ensure policy information is accurate.
  • Review Inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented at the time of binding and take appropriate or needed actions as directed by your team leader or the underwriting manager.
  • Cancel and reinstate policies based on outlined terms, company policy and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
