About The Position

CVP is seeking a Policy Liason to join our growing team supporting OPTN. This OPTN Policy Liaison serves as the primary policy-facing representative supporting OPTN committees and workgroups, providing subject matter continuity, policy insight, and structured facilitation to ensure effective, consistent, and compliant committee operations. This role brings knowledge of OPTN policies, laws, and governance processes to guide discussions, support decision-making, and maintain alignment across committee activities, while working in coordination with Committee Coordinators responsible for documentation and output development.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience supporting policy, regulatory, or governance activities, preferably within federal healthcare programs or similarly regulated environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of policy development processes, committee operations, or governance frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support skills, with the ability to translate complex policy issues into clear discussion points
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefing materials, summaries, and decision-support content
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience facilitating or supporting meetings, workgroups, or committees, including agenda development and follow-up coordination
  • Ability to synthesize stakeholder input, descriptive data, and policy considerations into structured outputs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of materials and documentation
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders, including leadership, clients, and partner organizations
  • Experience working with Federal Government clients is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OPTN policy, transplant operations, or healthcare quality/regulatory programs
  • Familiarity with federal advisory committee or governance processes
  • Experience supporting policy committees or multi-stakeholder decision-making bodies
  • Master’s degree in public health, health policy, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary policy liaison for assigned committees and workgroups.
  • Provide policy and governance context to support committee discussions and decisions.
  • Help shape agendas, frame issues, and track follow-up items and dependencies.
  • Prepare draft language for committee consideration and refinement, consistent with OPTN policy direction and prior discussions.
  • Synthesize policy issues, stakeholder input, and descriptive data into clear discussion points and decision options.
  • Coordinate across HRSA, committee leadership, and contractors to maintain alignment.
  • Identify risks, inconsistencies, or cross-committee impacts and elevate as appropriate.
  • Review committee outputs for policy accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
