About The Position

The ACLU of Georgia welcomes interns each spring, summer, and fall across legal, policy, communications, community engagement, and voter access teams. We accept students at all levels, including high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate. The Fall 2026 term runs approximately from September 9th to December 11th, 2026. This internship offers academic credit only, and individual schedules will be arranged with intern supervisors. All applicants must complete this application form, including providing a resume. Some applicants may be required to provide additional documents. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the deadline is August 14, 2026, though it may close earlier due to high application volume.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze policies and draft memos on proposed legislation and existing Georgia laws.
  • Monitor legislative hearings and governmental meetings to take detailed notes.
  • Assist with community engagement activities.
  • Assist with training and organizing volunteers.
