About The Position

The Policy and Partnerships Advisor supports the E-ISAC's mission by providing relevant policy analysis while cultivating meaningful partnerships that strengthen information sharing and security across the electricity sector. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Engagement, this role plays a key role in strengthening the E-ISAC’s engagement with vendors and partners that support the electricity sector. This position helps translate electricity industry knowledge, partner insights, and policy developments into actionable engagement strategies, program enhancements, and leadership briefings. By supporting initiatives such as the Vendor Affiliate Program (VAP) and broader strategic engagement efforts, the Advisor helps ensure that vendor relationships, collaboration frameworks, and information sharing activities align with the E-ISAC’s mission and evolving needs of its stakeholder base.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or related roles
  • 3+ years of experience providing public policy analysis or advisory support
  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Strong ability to analyze data and assess the implications of policy developments
  • Experience working with electricity industry OEM and/or security solutions companies
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing partnership strategies
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong initiative, positive attitude, and professional, engaging presence
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to learn and apply the NERC Style Guide to products
  • Quick study with ability to absorb industry knowledge quickly and apply it to engagement activities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or familiarity with the electric or related industry
  • Familiarity with grid operations, NERC, and the Electric Reliability Organization mission
  • Experience or familiarity with ISACs or similar security-focused organizations
  • Experience in managing or participating in partnership programs or working for an electricity industry OEM or security focused vendor
  • Familiarity with the critical infrastructure partnership models, SRMAs, SCCs, CIPAC

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed policies to assess their impact on the information sharing and security landscape
  • Develop actionable, data-driven recommendations and insights to inform strategic direction
  • Advise on strategic engagement efforts related to the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council (ESCC) and Member Executive Committee (MEC)
  • Identify develop, and maintain relationships with vendors serving the electricity industry, including OEMs and security solutions providers
  • Provide strategic guidance and execution of the Vendor Affiliate Program (VAP), including partner engagement, program coordination, and marketing and communications
  • Educate members, partners, and prospective participants on the value and impact of the E-ISAC VAP
  • Work across internal teams to share insights and information informed by vendor management and feedback
  • Facilitate collaboration and support the implementation of initiatives based on vendor input, as needed
  • Support E-ISAC programs and events such as GridSecCon, GridEx, and other strategic engagements
  • Manage and maintain relationships with E-ISAC member organizations using Salesforce CRM and other platforms to ensure data accuracy, process efficiency, and high levels of member satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the E-ISAC’s mission and objectives
