About The Position

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Office of State Budget Director is seeking a Policy and Budget Analyst III. This position will work along side staff with responsibilities including the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Executive Branch budget.

Requirements

• Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
• Three years of experience in statewide budgeting in either the state budget office, the Legislative Research Commission's budget-related entities, an agency budget office, or in the executive or legislative budget offices of another state government.
• Professional experience in budget preparation, budget administration, accounting, and/or financial analysis will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Review and analysis of agency biennial budget request.
• Preparation of biennial budget request for assigned agencies within the Executive Branch
• Monitor legislative action during General Assembly Sessions including tracking of proposed changes to Executive Branch budget request.
• Process requests from assigned agencies including budget modification documents, documents for capital projects.
