About The Position

The Lincoln Police Department is seeking applications for both entry-level Police Trainees and certified Police Officers. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent G.E.D.
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of appointment to a Police Officer
  • Meet physical requirements, including minimum vision requirements, as established by the City
  • No felony convictions
  • Meet NLETC admission requirements
  • Possession of a valid State of Nebraska driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Certified law enforcement officers may be given a higher starting wage at the discretion of the Chief of Police based on experience.
