About The Position
The Alabaster Police Department is seeking elite candidates with a strong desire to protect and serve the community. This role involves serving alongside one of Alabama's best law enforcement agencies. Candidates must qualify to attend the APOST academy for consideration.
Requirements
- Must qualify to attend APOST academy for consideration.
- Must register at Jeffstate.edu to sit for the work keys assessment prior to an offer of a position (for candidates without an associate degree or higher).
- Must pass a basic written test with a score of 70 or higher.
- Must pass the Physical Agility Test.
- Closed-toed shoes required for testing.

- Hold an associate degree or higher (exempts from Work Keys Assessment).
