The Miami Township Police Department, a CALEA Internationally accredited police agency, is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Lateral applicants are welcome to apply, and highly experienced applicants are eligible for top out pay, which is currently $47.27 per hour. Should you be a lateral applicant from out of state, we will assist with the Ohio Reciprocal Occupational Certificate application. Miami Township offers a comprehensive benefit package including top tier health insurance, pension contributions to OPERS-LE, a deferred compensation plan through Ohio 457, and tuition reimbursement. Police officers work 12-hour shifts and receive a scheduled three-day weekend twice a month. Assignment opportunities currently include SWAT operator, drone pilot, narcotics, honor guard, instructor, motorcycle unit, bicycle unit, and more!
