About The Position

The City of Yukon is looking for qualified individuals to become a part of the Yukon Police Department family. This position performs police patrol, investigations, traffic regulation and related law enforcement activities. Requirements

Between the ages of 21 and 45, unless currently active in Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System.
High School diploma or GED required.
No felony or domestic violence convictions.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Must pass physical agility test, written exam, oral interview, polygraph and extensive background investigation.
Must pass Police Pension board physical and pre-employment drug screening.
Including Psychological exam.

Responsibilities

Patrol of area.
Answering calls for service.
Investigation of criminal acts.
Operation of a computer terminal.
Operation of electronic devices.
Communication via mobile radio.
Effect arrest of violators.
Investigation of traffic collisions.
Carry out duties of the department.
Serve on special units.
Interview victims and suspects.
Attend training.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
