Jefferson Police Department - Police Officer Armed (prior police experience)- Full Time - Various Locations & Shifts
About The Position
Responsible for the safety and security of all Jefferson employees, students, visitors, staff and property. As designated by the shift supervisor, police officers patrols the Jefferson campus either on foot or on bicycle and monitors the environment of safety at various locations on campus. The police officer will respond to all serious incidents on campus and take the appropriate action in accordance with Federal, State, Local and Organizational laws and policy. Must be available to work all shifts and must be able to rotate between shifts in accordance with organizational needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Security experience or prior Law Enforcement or Military experience required.
- Must be able to pass Physical Fitness, Psychological, and Drug testing examinations established by Jefferson for this position (all divisions).
- PA Armed positions only: meets the requirements of Police Academy training or meets requirements of Act 501 and Act 235F.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
