Responsible for dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for Tribal Police, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice Units, Game Wardens, Fire, and Forestry. This is a regular/full-time position requiring work on weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays. The role is 100% onsite in Durant, OK, with a pay rate of $21.23 per hour. The Police Dispatcher will maintain a computer-aided dispatch system, receive emergency calls, determine the nature and location of emergencies, prioritize calls, and dispatch necessary emergency units. They will also inquire, enter, update, interpret, verify, receive, and share information from national, state, and local law enforcement computer networks, monitor public safety radio frequencies, and enter/cancel/modify warrants and other law enforcement information into state and national computer systems. Additionally, the dispatcher will assist supervisors in training trainees, monitor department staff and other emergency service providers, create accurate records, answer non-emergency calls, and perform other assigned tasks.
