Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA Training
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
- Pole test and treat experience or other related work
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
Responsibilities
- Organize work operations from start to completion in the safest and most efficient manner, to perform proper maintenance of utility poles
- Oversee 3-5-person pole crews while mentoring and training new employees
- Use personal protective equipment and maintain high levels of safety standards
- Investigate accidents and promptly record and report findings to management
- Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
