About The Position
The Poker Dealer at Maverick Casino & Hotel Elko is responsible for managing poker games, ensuring a fun and energetic gaming experience for guests. This role involves handling bets, exchanging currency for chips, and maintaining the safety and security of the gaming table. The ideal candidate will have a passion for poker, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow gaming laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Previous gaming experience and knowledge.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum six months dealing experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming License.
- Working knowledge of cash handling.
- Knowledge of State of Nevada Gambling regulations and rules.
- High energy, a great attitude, and a desire to have fun at work.
Nice To Haves
- No experience necessary, will train.
- Avid poker player.
Responsibilities
- Manage poker games and ensure a fun, energetic, and positive gaming experience for guests.
- Collect bets and exchange currency for gaming chips.
- Take ownership of the table's safety and security, promoting a safe gaming space.
- Follow local gaming laws and regulations and internal controls as a poker dealer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
