About The Position

The Coordinator, Point of Care oversees the Point of Care Testing program at assigned facilities. Serves as a liaison between Patient Care Services, Organizational Learning & Development and the Clinical Laboratory. Provides education, development of policies and procedures and design/implementation of new testing as necessary and in accordance with Laboratory Standardization Teams.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate or Associates Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification.
• Certified Med Tech, Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist required.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience with point of care/laboratory testing.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Highly motivated and self directed and able to function independently.
• Leadership qualities, human relations skills and decision making ability.
• Readily accepts change and can influence people and organizational climate.
