Podiatrist
About The Position
The MedServ Group is seeking a Podiatrist to provide care to residents of Skilled Nursing Facilities, with a focus on delivering quality healthcare to elderly patients. The role involves approximately two visits per month and typically includes seeing 22–25 patients per visit, providing preventative care, and completing related paperwork. A visit involves approximately 7–8 hours of patient visits plus paperwork. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, usually 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexible schedules also available. Compensation is paid by CPT code or at 35%–40% of collections, listed as $1,100–$1,250 per visit. All doctors work as 1099 independent contractors.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine (DPM).
- Active state license.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinic or hospital.
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with elderly patients.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases.
- Treat foot and leg injuries, including fractures, corns, and calluses.
- Refer patients for foot and ankle surgeries when necessary.
- Prescribe medication for joint pain and foot orthoses to improve mobility.
- Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices.
- Provide preventative care to approximately 22–25 patients per visit and complete related paperwork.
