About The Position

Community Health Centers of America is hiring for an Podiatrist to work in our clinics and contracted nursing facilities in the Merced, CA area. Community Health Centers of America is a premier multi-specialty group focused on improving the health of the community through excellence in clinical care. We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for foot and ankle conditions, ensuring the highest quality of patient care in clinics and partner nursing facilities. Requirements

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school
  • Completion of a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency program
  • Board certification or eligibility in Podiatry
  • State licensure to practice Podiatry
  • Strong knowledge in areas such as dermatology, rheumatology, plastic surgery, and pathology
  • Experience in critical care procedures including catheterization, phlebotomy, ventilation, and dermabrasion techniques
  • Licenses/Certifications: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures
  • Current BLS/ACLS required
  • Current DEA required
  • In depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Active listening and active learning
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of people, differing in ages, personalities, and backgrounds
  • Time management skills to be able to see a high number of patients
  • Interpersonal skills, compassion, and empathy to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a teaching hospital or senior care facility is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat various foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions
  • Perform surgical procedures related to podiatric care
  • Provide wound care and management
  • Prescribe medications and orthotic devices
  • Educate patients on foot health and preventive care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
