About The Position

IPEX LLC is a manufacturer of the industry’s highest quality plastic pipe, with a comprehensive product offering, featuring PVC, CPVC, PE and PEX, with innovative production facilities. IPEX is known as an industry leader, focusing on innovation, timely delivery, and personalized service. We currently have an excellent opportunity as a PO Receiver! This role is based at our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. The PO Receiver will handle and process deliveries to the Plant. Duties include, but are not limited to, verifying that contents are accurate and that no items are damaged and maintaining an efficient flow of merchandise, which involves documenting, storing, stocking, locating, and distributing stock in the plant. These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and enhancing safety and housekeeping.

Requirements

  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • 1-2 years of receiving or inventor control experience preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated to work independently under minimal direction and have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to interpret instructions and directions diligently.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to, Microsoft Office and Infoflo.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Regularly encounters problems that involve multiple-choice options, but through prior exposure, experience, and established procedures/policies, can resolve most appropriate course of action.
  • Work involves both routine and non-routine tasks within well-defined standards.
  • The ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform for long periods.
  • The ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety glasses and hearing protection.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment through training, policy adherence, and housekeeping.
  • Verify items received are accurate in quality and quantity, advise appropriate personnel of any non-conformances and/or discrepancies, receive the items into the inventory system, and distribute items to accurate personnel.
  • Be familiar with all stock items and their location at the plant and DC; also, the part number system.
  • Complete knowledge & utilization of the RF system and Infoflo.
  • Meet department safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Receive the product with limited supervision accurately.
  • Perform cycle counts as vital.
  • Be reasonably familiar with all plant receiving and shipping operations and their relationship with other departments.
  • Assist in keeping the plant area neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Responsible for receiving shipments in a reasonable amount of time, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Other duties as delegated.
