About The Position

Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine is seeking an experienced Physiatrist to join their growing team. This role focuses on helping patients restore optimal physical function and improve their quality of life, particularly those affected by acute injury, back and neck pain, musculoskeletal problems, and acute/sub-acute spine disorders. The practice utilizes advanced medical techniques, cutting-edge technology, and a patient-centered approach across seven locations in the Atlanta metro area, as well as in Jacksonville, FL, Greenville, SC, and Houston, TX. They offer in-house procedures and imaging, including stand-up and open MRI, digital X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and a hyperbaric chamber. The position emphasizes a comprehensive, non-chronic opioid treatment plan.

Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Fellowship trained in Pain Medicine or Interventional Spine (board certification a plus).
Sports Medicine fellowship accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Personable, a team player, and possesses a passion for improving the health and well-being of their patients.

Nice To Haves

Experience with clinical and spinal injections is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural injections, including cervical selective nerve root blocks.
Perform cervical, thoracic, and lumbar facet injections, SIJ injections, medial branch blocks.
Perform cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and SIJ branch blocks and RFA.
Perform occipital nerve blocks.
Perform ganglion impar blocks.
Perform interarticular hip injections and piriformis injections.
Perform PRP injections.
Collaborate with a team of orthopedic surgeons and physiatrists.
Supervise a team of medical professionals, including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants.
Commute to more than one clinic periodically as needed.
