About The Position

iWorks is seeking a Junior PMO Analyst to support a federal program. This role will focus on standardizing project delivery, improving governance, and supporting program alignment with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a structured federal program environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency across multiple projects by supporting PMO frameworks, reporting, and coordination efforts.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ year of experience in project coordination, PMO support, or program analysis
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Experience supporting project documentation, reporting, and tracking
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal or DoD programs
  • Familiarity with PMO tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar)
  • Exposure to governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with resource planning and capacity management
  • Knowledge of IT GEMS program or similar enterprise IT environments
  • CAPM certification or progress toward PMP certification

Responsibilities

  • Support PMO governance by implementing standardized processes, templates, and documentation practices
  • Assist with project delivery coordination and day-to-day program management activities
  • Track project performance, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with program goals
  • Maintain project status reports, dashboards, and executive-level updates
  • Identify, track, and escalate risks and issues in accordance with established PMO processes
  • Support compliance with SLAs, AQLs, and federal program requirements (IT GEMS, JEHR HA)
  • Coordinate onboarding and training activities for new team members on PMO standards
  • Facilitate communication between PMO leadership and delivery teams
  • Assist in project prioritization, approval workflows, and governance activities
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives aligned with PMO best practices
