About The Position

This evergreen posting is for a talent pool of PMO professionals for future hiring needs at MxD (Manufacturing x Digital). MxD is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing U.S. manufacturing competitiveness through technology innovation, workforce development, and cybersecurity. They are building a pipeline of talented project delivery professionals for contract roles (at least one year, with potential extensions) to support various initiatives in Industry 4.0, Supply Chain, Digital Twins, Future Factory, Systems Integration, and Cybersecurity. MxD is looking for individuals with strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a passion for delivering business value. Potential roles include Project Coordinator, Portfolio Analyst, Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Program Manager, and Senior Program Manager. The organization emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Experience supporting or leading projects, programs, or PMO functions
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience using project management tools and reporting platforms, such as Monday.com (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be available to work on-site for 1 to 3 days per week

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government-funded projects and contracting processes is desirable
  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing projects from initiation through final delivery
  • Developing project schedules, work plans, budgets, and resource forecasts
  • Monitoring project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones to ensure alignment with SOW and contractual obligations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Facilitating project team meetings, distributing key meeting outcomes, and tracking deliverables
  • Preparing project status reports, dashboards, and executive communications
  • Managing project budgets, monitoring forecast variances, and communicating financial impacts
  • Managing project portfolios and resource planning
  • Driving process improvements and PMO best practices
  • Supporting change management and adoption activities
  • Ensuring compliance with project management standards and methodologies
