About The Position

The PMO Manager leads and develops NetCov’s team of project professionals, ensuring consistent, efficient, and predictable delivery of client and internal initiatives. This role oversees day-to-day operations of the PMO, providing structure, mentorship, and alignment between business strategy and project execution. The PMO Manager partners closely with senior leadership to define delivery standards, resource strategy, and reporting frameworks that drive visibility, quality, and accountability. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and process optimizer—someone who can coach project managers and coordinators while continuously maturing PMO practices.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach diverse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, hybrid, waterfall).
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity with clarity.
  • Proficiency in project management systems (HaloPSA, Teamwork, Monday.com [//Monday.com], or similar).
  • Financial acumen related to project profitability, forecasting, and utilization metrics.
  • Analytical mindset with experience turning data into actionable insight.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of project management experience in IT, MSP, or cybersecurity environments.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring peers or supporting PMO process initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional or client-facing initiatives required; formal management experience not required.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, CSM, or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Team Leads through coaching, 1:1s, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and growth aligned with NetCov’s “People Before Tech” philosophy.
  • Partner with PMO Leadership, HR, and company leadership to support career progression, goal-setting, and professional development.
  • Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and workload distribution across projects.
  • Provide escalation support for client or delivery challenges while empowering team-level ownership.
  • Lead or co-manage complex projects, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Oversee the full portfolio of client projects, ensuring consistency in execution, documentation, and communication.
  • Review and approve project scopes, budgets, schedules, and change requests.
  • Monitor project KPIs (budget, time, client satisfaction, and utilization) and ensure corrective action plans are in place as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives requiring collaboration across delivery, operations, and client strategy teams.
  • Maintain visibility into risks, dependencies, and outcomes across all active projects.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven reporting to leadership on PMO health, resource capacity, and portfolio performance.
  • Evolve PMO frameworks, templates, and playbooks to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Establish governance processes for project intake, prioritization, and performance reporting.
  • Partner with technical and business leaders to align project execution with organizational strategy.
  • dentify and drive improvement opportunities through data-driven analysis and lessons learned.
  • Ensure adoption of PMO standards and promote continuous learning across the organization.
  • Promote NetCov’s people-first, structured, and proactive project management culture.
