Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Advance Practice Nurse in the State of Georgia
• PMHNP-BC

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of nursing services from mental health promotion to mental illness rehabilitation.
• Provides psychotherapy, clinical supervision, consultation, and liaison services.
• Practices in accordance with the Board-approved current standards of the American Nurses Association's A Statement on Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nursing Practice and Standards of Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nursing Practice.
• Performs history and physical examinations and carries out appropriate intervention/procedures as determined by the plan of care.
• Coordinates care of assigned patients according to Northside Hospital established Standards of Care.
• Is an integral part of the behavioral health team to assist with the identified psychiatric needs.
