About The Position

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the assigned school-based before or after school program. This includes supervising TK/Kinder Youth Leaders, Youth Leaders, and Vendors, overseeing program implementation, ensuring staff accountability, maintaining student safety, and managing administrative responsibilities. The Site Coordinator ensures that the program operates efficiently, aligns with organizational goals, and provides a high-quality, engaging, and safe environment for all students. The Site Coordinator is expected to develop staff, monitor program quality, coordinate with school administration, and represent the organization professionally in all interactions. This role also requires participation in required trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities to maintain compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED Required.
  • Must be at least 18 yrs of age, 25 yrs for some sites and events.
  • Must have at least 48 semester/72 quarter college units, College Degree or pass School District ESSA test.
  • Experience working with children (volunteer work counts).
  • Knowledge of youth development stages.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality activities for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise youth in a safe environment.
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older (21 for High School Sites).
  • Valid State Driver’s License or California ID card.
  • Must clear TB, Drug Screen and Fingerprint check.
  • CPR & First Aid Certifications within 90 of hire.

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create an environment that promotes Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Encourage and stimulate program participation.
  • Provide guidance, role modeling, and mentorship to students.
  • Offer homework help and academic support as needed.
  • Plan, implement, and administer program activities and services.
  • Ensure student safety in all activities and environments.
  • Maintain organized and clean program spaces.
  • Support EXL/CAPS Extended Learning Supervisor with daily dismissal and special programs/events.
  • Actively supervise students from dismissal until sign-out.
  • Set clear expectations, reinforce positive behavior, and provide a safe, structured environment.
  • Ensure staff follows school behavioral guidelines and protects students’ health, safety, and well-being.
  • Follow procedures for students who are late being picked up.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to Youth Leaders and Vendors.
  • Conduct onboarding, deliver evaluations, and administer corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Coordinators (QAC) on staff performance and review payroll hours.
  • Participate in staff meetings, site meetings, and required trainings, including completing the Site Coordinator Academy within the first year.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving when challenges arise.
  • Maintain professional conduct and represent the organization positively in the community and online.
  • Ensure staff are trained and prepared to implement emergency procedures, including Fire Drills, Earthquake Drills, Lockdowns, Lockouts, Restraining Orders, and Evacuations.
  • Submit drill plans to the school principal and ensure staff is knowledgeable about all procedures.
  • Complete required administrative and reporting tasks accurately and on time.
  • Fill in for absent staff as needed to maintain proper student-to-staff ratios.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program continuity and organizational success
