PM Server/Bartender
About The Position
TOURISTS’ goal in all positions is to exceed expectations of our guests. Members of the Food and Beverage Team are in a highly visible and hands-on position. Our PM servers will be one of the first faces guests see when checking in. An All Day Snack menu is available in the common areas (ie the Lodge), room service, and poolside. Additionally, Tourists offers a seasonal drink menu, including specialty cocktails, local beer choices, and a thoughtfully curated wine list. PM servers will become knowledgeable in the menu, prepare in house syrups and ingredients, take and place orders, and assist guests with any questions or requests. During the summer, servers will also be asked to set up the pool and perform poolside service. It may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. The ideal candidate is reliable, cool under pressure, and friendly.
Requirements
- Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Certificates, licenses, and/or identification cards as required by the U.S. Department of Justice to verify employment eligibility
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. PMS and POS)
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of food and beverage service to our house guests
- Greet guests warmly as they approach counter and provide descriptions of menu offerings
- Take and place orders in an efficient manner, relaying special requests as needed with orders
- Prepare and serve food and drinks orders in accordance with guests’ orders
- Make timely deliveries of Room Service orders
- Maintain open communications with Kitchen on food orders to ensure timely delivery of executed plates to guests
- Ensure organization and cleanliness of Bar, FOH spaces, and beverage inventory in basement
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
- Support the Front Desk and Guest Experience team when necessary
- Assist with pool set up and perform all pool service (seasonal)
- Comply to shift checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Practice safety with all equipment to ensure safe working conditions
