About The Position

As a FOH Catering Lead, you will guide our internal catering team and serve as the primary point of contact for customer service and event execution. You will act as a liaison between the FOH catering team and kitchen staff, ensuring the seamless delivery of each event. Responsibilities include inspecting catered rooms and serving stations for cleanliness and proper setup, restocking supplies, setting and bussing tables, taking orders, preparing beverages and dry goods, and expediting dishes as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have and maintain an active Handlers’ Card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirement.
  • Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance.
  • Consistently perform all duties in a responsible and efficient manner.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 2+ year experience in food service catering operation and customer service role.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Strong communication, time and resource management and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects on a consistent basis.

  • Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor, and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the operation.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Catering Manager in expediting all events.
  • Coordinates and assigns daily tasks to ensure quality of production and positive workflows across all catering events.
  • Works with the Catering Manager and Chefs to confirm and implement catering event needs and last-minute pop-ups.
  • Oversee, assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
  • Confirms stations for neatness/cleanliness, restocks food/beverage and condiment stations while avoiding contamination.
  • Reference BEOs, confirming the number of guests per event and scaling F&B needs accordingly.
  • Acts as a host/hostess for guests. Accommodates and anticipates special needs of the guests. Addressing any client concerns or issues in real-time.
  • Cover all Catering stations when there are callouts or vacations.
  • Stock/Re-stock beverages, utensils, plates, glasses in the service areas.
  • Oversee that the correct use of carts specific to floors to transport utensils, glassware, plates, and food are used.
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of all catering equipment and smallware areas.
  • Conducts weekly catering inventory of food, beverage, and flatware needs.
  • Check 5th Floor rooms to confirm all rooms are properly stocked with daily needs.
  • Checks expiration dates on all dairy products and maintains cleanliness of all FOH refrigeration.
  • Assist in training new catering team members.
  • Provide Management with consistent communication on operational tasks and team effectiveness.
  • Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
