About The Position

PM Field Service Mechanics perform routine maintenance on various types of customer and company-owned material handling equipment within a designated territory. In this role, you will: Perform preventative maintenance tasks on various types of construction equipment in the field to prolong its lifespan. Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress and general updates. Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety laws, policies and rules, both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles. Strong mechanical aptitude, strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a safety-first mentality are all key.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months to 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician/mechanic in the material handling equipment industry, or mechanical training/education, or experience in a related industry.
  • Have your own complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical aptitude/experience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
