About The Position
As a plumbing technician, your responsibility is to perform residential and commercial plumbing services, including drain cleaning and repair work. A plumbing technician is customer-focused, technically skilled, and comfortable presenting and selling recommended plumbing solutions to clients in a professional and ethical manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years plumbing experience
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to practice continual learning and growth of your skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexible schedule required
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
- Basic computer and tablet skills for documentation and invoicing
Nice To Haves
- Boiler experience is a plus
- Drain cleaning experience preferred
- ServiceTitan experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Install and repair water lines, plumbing fixtures fixtures, valves, and plumbing and boiler systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues with accuracy
- Work independently to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and professionally
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with customers and office
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- On call rotation
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnoses, repair options, and pricing
- Present recommended repairs or upgrades and sell plumbing services based on customer needs
- Build trust with customers through professional appearance, honesty, and quality workmanship
- Upsell preventative maintenance, system upgrades, or additional services when appropriate
- Obtain customer approval before performing work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with plumbing techniques and products
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
