About The Position

Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking an experienced Plumbing Supervisor to lead our residential plumbing operations in the Tallahassee, Florida branch. This position is responsible for overseeing field personnel, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining productivity, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. The Plumbing Supervisor will provide leadership, training, and support to plumbing teams while ensuring projects are completed on schedule and in accordance with company standards and local plumbing codes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of residential plumbing experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of residential plumbing systems, installation methods, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and construction plans.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test.

  • Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, lead, and mentor residential plumbing crews.
  • Schedule and coordinate daily job assignments to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Monitor job progress to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
  • Train and develop plumbers and helpers on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and company expectations.
  • Perform routine job site inspections to ensure compliance with plumbing codes, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Address field issues, troubleshoot installation challenges, and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Coordinate material and equipment needs with warehouse personnel to minimize project delays.
  • Maintain open communication with management, office staff, builders, and field employees.
  • Ensure accurate completion of required documentation, including job reports, inspections, and employee timekeeping.
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and evaluating field employees.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment while maintaining accountability and high performance standards.
  • Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
