Polk Mechanical is currently seeking a highly experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead and manage plumbing operations across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial projects in the Houston area.

Requirements

Minimum 8 years of verifiable experience in the plumbing trade, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role
Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and medical gas
Proficient in reading and interpreting plumbing blueprints and specifications
Familiarity with other major craft disciplines and coordination practices
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously
Willingness to work in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs., working in awkward positions, exposure to weather and job site hazards)
Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Supervise plumbing work on projects ranging from basic commercial installations to large-scale, multi-system builds
Oversee and coordinate multiple foremen and field crews
Interpret and enforce project specifications, blueprints, and plumbing codes
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist in administering the company’s safety program
Maintain a safe and productive work environment across all job sites
Monitor project schedules, resource allocation, and progress to meet deadlines
Serve as a liaison between field operations, project management, and clients
