About The Position

J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time New Construction Plumbing Superintendent. This role serves as the liaison between mechanics, builders, and managers, taking charge of the technical performance of the mechanics. The superintendent inspires pride in work, ensures guidance for success, and confirms proper procedures are followed with a passion for quality and safety. They ensure materials are on-site before scheduling labor and evaluate work quality at each construction phase. The role involves assisting with complex installation challenges, communicating challenges or delays to the division manager/builders, and is ultimately responsible for the project's profitability and meeting deadlines. Requirements

  • 10+ years of residential new construction experience
  • Experience managing tradesmen
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Experience communicating with Builders
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Leadership ability

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison between mechanics, builders, and managers.
  • Take charge of the technical performance of the mechanics.
  • Ensure mechanics are inspired to take pride in their work and have the guidance needed to succeed.
  • Confirm that proper procedures are being followed by all staff with a passion for quality and safety.
  • Ensure that materials are at the job site prior to scheduling the labor needed to complete the work.
  • Evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction.
  • Assist with complex project installation challenges.
  • Effectively communicate challenges or delays to the division manager/builders.
  • Be responsible for the project's profitability and meeting deadlines for completion.
  • Achieve revenue goals for the company while exceeding goals for quality and timing.
