About The Position
Howell-Chase Heating & Air is seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Technician to join their growing team in Bluffton, SC. In this role, the technician will be the expert for diagnosing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems for residential customers. The technician will work independently and alongside other skilled technicians to deliver reliable, code-compliant solutions. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of plumbing service and repair experience.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret plumbing codes, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with plumbing systems connected to HVAC equipment.
- Certifications in specialized areas such as backflow prevention, tankless systems, or gas piping.
- Familiarity with Service Titan or similar field service software.
- Strong customer service background and confidence in client-facing interactions.
- Ability to mentor junior technicians and support team development.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, water heater failures, and fixture malfunctions.
- Install and replace plumbing systems and components in accordance with local codes, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system evaluations to identify potential issues.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, recommended repairs, and service options.
- Maintain accurate service records and utilize company software for scheduling and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of jobs and excellent customer experience.
- Follow all safety protocols and uphold company standards on every job site.
