About The Position
D&D Plumbing is hiring a Plumbing Service Technician to join our residential service team in Midland, TX. In this role you'll diagnose and repair plumbing systems in customers' homes, present repair and replacement options, and represent D&D in the field. We service an established customer base with steady call volume, so you'll stay busy year-round.
Requirements
- Prior residential plumbing service and repair experience
- Working knowledge of residential plumbing systems, code requirements, and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to communicate repair options professionally and build customer confidence
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems including water heaters, drain lines, water lines, gas lines, fixtures, and sewer systems
- Perform whole-home plumbing inspections and clearly communicate findings to homeowners
- Present repair and replacement options and pricing, and close sold work
- Complete all work in accordance with local, state, and manufacturer codes and standards
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in the field software
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized service vehicle
- Keep job sites clean and protect customer property throughout the service call
- Participate in the on-call rotation, including some evenings and weekends
- Collaborate with dispatch and the service manager to meet scheduling and customer commitments
