Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree OR Mechanical/Plumbing Trade Diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management experience in the Mechanical/Plumbing/HVAC Industry OR a minimum of 5 years combined Mechanical/Plumbing/HVAC Field experience and Project Management experience in the Mechanical/Plumbing/HVAC Industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and team skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with Accubid, Procore, Bluebeam or other construction software.
  • Familiarity with construction/financial software packages.
  • Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism and commitment to company values.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail.
  • Must possess ability to manage and supervise personnel.
  • Must build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Leading all aspects of the project activities for the projects assigned in accordance with project goals, budget, quality control and company objectives.
  • Providing project management resources to act for the company in matters pertaining to the successful progress and completion of assigned projects according to established budget, schedules and contract documents.
  • Ensuring adherence to project budget and reporting any potential risks or discrepancies to the Vice president of Plumbing and during the budget review process monthly.
  • Understanding complex project plans, drawing specifications and schedule as well as the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely project documentation, including but not limited to, RFI's submittals, schedule updates, time records, supplemental work orders, change order pricing, and general project correspondence.
  • Coordinating with the Superintendent and Project Field Staff to determine the priority of job – especially when dealing with scheduling conflicts for labor and equipment.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and tracking performance standards for all work performed on assigned project.
  • Performing regular inspections of all work performed on assigned project.
  • Adhering to the Company uniform project management procedures and cost accounting standards.
  • Fostering and maintaining consistent and uniform cooperation among all departments in the company.
  • Preparing Project expense budgets, revenue and profit projections for the Vice President of Plumbing.
  • Providing consistent supervision and monitoring of all work performed on assigned project.
  • Providing technical advice to both clients and employees working on assigned project.
  • Working with the Plumbing Estimating Team on the bid mark-up that are consistent with the volume and profit objectives for the Project and Company.
  • Reviewing estimates and proposal scope letters.
  • Reviewing RFQ/RFP documents for the solicitation of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Enforcing compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards and contracts and reporting all variances to [Insert Title].
  • Maintaining confidentiality of work and any company project knowledge.
  • Escalating critical and/or sensitive issues to Management Team with recommendation for resolution.
  • Aligning assignments to achieve customer and company objective.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
