Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent project management experience.
  • 3–5 years of plumbing/MEP construction project management, project engineering, or field leadership experience supporting installation work is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing installation means and methods, sequencing, coordination practices, documentation, and testing/inspection requirements.
  • Working knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and inspection processes; ability to interpret plans, specs, details, and coordination drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Must obtain OSHA-30 certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Professional, collaborative, and proactive work style with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

Responsibilities

  • Manage installation schedules and short-interval plans; track manpower and production, identify constraints, and communicate impacts or required adjustments to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate installation documentation including RFIs, submittments, coordination/shop drawings, fixture/equipment cut sheets, and change requests.
  • Review contract documents and coordinate with design/GC teams to resolve field installation questions, support layout, and maintain scope alignment.
  • Develop and maintain installation budgets, labor and material cost reports, and forecasts; monitor job cost trends and flag variances early.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor proposals for completeness and installation scope; support buyout and contract preparation under guidance from senior leadership.
  • Track, price, and process change orders and T&M work; maintain backup documentation, confirm schedule impacts, and ensure alignment with approved scope.
  • Participate in owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings and prepare meeting minutes as required.
  • Communicate installation status, constraints, safety/quality concerns, schedule impacts, and next steps through weekly lookaheads, coordination meetings, and jobsite reports.
  • Compose and review letters, memos, and other project correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate as-built documentation, valve charts, equipment start-up records, and closeout materials (O&M manuals, warranties, attic stock, and turnover packages).
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable plumbing/mechanical codes, permitting and inspection requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Conduct periodic jobsite visits to verify installation quality and progress, support inspection/testing readiness, and track punch list items through completion.
  • Partner with field foremen/supervisors, project engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate installation sequencing, material staging, prefabrication, and efficient workflows.
  • Identify and help resolve installation issues such as trade interferences/clashes, sleeves and inserts, access/clearance constraints, and schedule conflicts; implement corrective actions with the project team.
