About The Position
The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education (CBVRCE) is seeking a Plumbing Program Teacher for Memorial High School. The CBVRCE is responsible for the public school system in Cape Breton and Victoria Counties, serving approximately 12,000 students across 38 schools. They aim to foster a caring, dynamic, and creative educational environment that promotes learning, respect, and the development of full potential. The CBVRCE is committed to student success and achievement within a culturally responsive, safe, and inclusive school environment. Requirements
- Grade 12 education.
- Certificate of Qualification (RED SEAL Journeyperson) Plumber.
- A minimum of eight (8) years combined training and/or current, relevant experience in Electrical/Construction/Industrial.

- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Competence in managing change.
- Demonstrated competence and relevant expertise in subject matter.
- Appropriate personal characteristics for instructing in a high school/vocational setting.

Responsibilities
- Instructing in areas including, but not limited to: Workplace Mentoring, Safety Practices, Building Codes, Generic Blueprint, Tools and Equipment, Hoisting, Lifting and Rigging, Welding, Fuel Brazing and Cutting, Plastic Piping, Copper Pipe Tube and Tubing, Steel Piping, Cast Iron Piping, Drainage, Waste and Venting Systems, Residential Potable Water Distribution.
