About The Position

Cox Construction is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plumbing & Process Pipe Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of plumbing and process piping projects across a diverse range of industries. This role is responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through project closeout, while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client specifications and industry standards. Reporting to the GM of Plumbing and GM of Process Pipe, the Plumbing & Process Pipe Project Manager will manage commercial, industrial, institutional, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, healthcare, and municipal infrastructure projects while providing leadership to field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. This position requires a professional who can successfully navigate both traditional plumbing systems and specialized process piping installations, including high-purity, sanitary, chemical, and high-pressure applications. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage plumbing and process piping projects from award through closeout.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules to develop execution plans and manpower strategies.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including pipe, fittings, valves, specialty equipment, and long-lead materials.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement logs, and project documentation.
  • Build and maintain project schedules utilizing tools such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • Direct and support plumbing foremen, pipefitters, welders, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, general contractors, and other trades to resolve project challenges and maintain project flow.
  • Conduct regular project site visits to monitor progress, productivity, quality, and safety performance.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and material submittals.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, flushing, passivation, and startup activities as required by project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing, process piping, safety, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to protect profitability and schedule commitments.
  • Prepare and present project updates, financial reports, and progress reports to clients and company leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships that support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
